Enfants d'Asie, des avenirs à construire !

Let’s protect the environment for the future of children and young people!

Tuesday, June 4, was World Environment Day! This event has been celebrated since 1973 and encourages us to take action to protect our planet.

With this in mind, Enfants d’Asie organizes activities, training sessions, and other initiatives in its countries of operation to educate children and adults about environmental issues.

In Laos, visits to natural parks are regularly organized with the children supported by the association to raise their environmental awareness while allowing them to discover the beauty of their country. The most recent visit took place at the Green Jungle Park Conservation Center with 30 supported children and the assistance of 7 student volunteers.

Workshops on cleaning and gardening were also organized at a school in northern Laos, along with a recycled paper-making activity and environmental awareness sessions with 37 children in the capital. Once again, we were able to rely on the valuable support of Laotian student volunteers.

In the Philippines, our on-site teams were able to inform and raise awareness among the supported children through hiking activities. In April, the children and staff of the DICE center took part in Earth Camp 2024 in Cebu. This event offered workshops, training sessions, and performances focused on environmental preservation.

In Cambodia, a few months ago, the youth participated in an awareness workshop organized and led by a civic service volunteer. The 21 children from the Kep orphanage visited the Kampot pepper plantation. The aim was to explore topics such as sustainable development and the importance of protecting the planet through fun and educational activities!
