Tet took place in Vietnam on January 29. This celebration marks the New Year according to the lunar calendar. It is a time of sharing, family reunions, and celebrations rich in traditions. This year, the symbolic animal associated with it is the snake!

To celebrate the arrival of the new year, the entire week is a holiday The Vietnamese take the opportunity to decorate the cities, families clean their homes to drive away bad luck and attract prosperity, markets come alive, and everyone prepares traditional dishes.

The first days of the year are often dedicated to family visits and exchanging good wishes. The children and youth supported by Enfants d’Asie, whenever possible, return home to celebrate Tet with their families.

The Maison d’Amour organized a celebration to mark Tet with the children according to tradition, and they then danced and sang. All the children received gifts.
