Let’s take action
for equal opportunities!
Enfants d’Asie implements numerous projects in Cambodia, Laos, the Philippines, and Vietnam. These projects aim to support children and young people living in precarious conditions, both girls and boys.
Our actions focus on protecting children’s rights. This is a major issue for children and young people in rural or peri-urban areas, from ethnic minorities, or who are orphaned. Girls also face numerous inequalities.
Not all children start with the same opportunities. To best meet the needs in our countries of operation, we continuously adapt our actions. Inequalities remain widespread in Southeast Asia, particularly in the field of education. Girls, more than boys, face significant discrimination (poverty, labor, early marriage and pregnancy, etc.), which affects their education and often leads them to drop out of school.

Our actions against inequalities
We are committed to helping young girls improve their access to education:
In Cambodia, we support underprivileged girls living with their families to help them continue their education. Support from social workers, in addition to financial assistance for school fees, helps reduce the factors contributing to school dropout in Mondulkiri, Battambang, and Smong.
In Laos, to combat school dropout, a dormitory will be built in a village in Oudomxay Province. This improvement in living conditions will allow young girls in Laos to be housed in a safe and clean environment.
In the Philippines, girls will be supported by our teams to prevent school dropout. They will have access to training in vocational centers and receive financial and food assistance. They will also receive guidance in their career orientation and professional integration.
In Vietnam, young girls aged 5 to 18 from ethnic minorities in the Mekong Delta and Lam Dong province will receive a scholarship to support their education. In these rural areas, residents rely solely on farming and irregular, low-income jobs. The scholarships will help reduce the education-related expenses for families.
A major challenge
Equal opportunities are a major issue in Southeast Asia, and there is still much work to be done. Tous ces projets permettront de construire peu à peu un terrain propice pour surmonter les obstacles.
By supporting our actions, you help change the lives of many girls. Making a donation is an effective way to support us while benefiting from a tax deduction.
If you are subject to the French Wealth Tax on Real Estate (IFI), you are entitled to a tax deduction of 75% of your donation*. For instance, a donation of €5,000 costs you €1,250 after the deduction.
If you are subject to income tax, you are entitled to a tax deduction of 66% of your donation. Thus, a donation of €50 costs you €17 after the deduction.
