My name is Ana Hirome S. Herrera. I graduated from Southwestern University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I have been a Youth Leader for many years and have experience in organizing, facilitating and developing trainings. My passion is to work with children!
As a Career Guidance Counselor with Children of Asia, I am working closely with the entire team. I am in charge of collecting and updating information on the universities and schools in Cebu and on the job market situation as a basis for the guidance service. I am also responsible for organizing activities, bymobilizing external professionals and Children of Asia Alumni when needed. Furthermore, I also assist the Training Center Manager in the supervision of the professional mentoring program sessions and supporting the mentor-mentee pairs. My goal is to build a good relation with the beneficiaries in order to guide them in their schooling, job preparation and their own decision-making.
I used to be a sponsored child myself and my wish for our beneficiaries is for them to find a stable job after they graduate, to be successful in their career so that they can permanently get out of poverty.”
