Actions in Vietnam

Despite an economic leap forward in recent years, Vietnam is experiencing major inequalities in development, with many families still living below the poverty line. Lacking financial resources, children are forced to abandon their studies in order to help their parents.

Partnership with local actors

Enfants d’Asie works hand in hand with several Vietnamese organizations committed to the protection and education of children. Since 2018, the association has been collaborating in particular with HACRP (Ho Chi Minh City Association for Children’s Rights Protection), which specializes in defending the rights of disadvantaged children, as well as with WOCA (Women’s Charity Association), which supports children who are victims of domestic violence, orphans, or those removed from their families and placed in foster care. Alongside other partners, Enfants d’Asie supports a range of educational and social projects. The Grils Empowerment project supports 600 disadvantaged girls from primary school to the end of high school, the Student Foundation project enables 200 students to access higher education, and the Xuân Phương Maison d’Amour welcomes 50 disadvantaged children, offering them a safe environment, educational and recreational activities. The association also supports the operation of several boarding houses, which allow 300 girls from ethnic minority backgrounds to pursue their education in better conditions.

Education to Employment Project

Enfants d’Asie is supporting 40 students including 20 young women, from disadvantaged families in Ho Chi Minh City,  to pursue higher education and prepare for their entry into professional life. Targeting students enrolled in vocational training and university programs, the project covers part of their tuition fees and provides comprehensive support to ensure their success. Students also benefit from practical workshops to develop essential skills such as communication, budgeting, teamwork, and interview preparation, helping them transition more smoothly into the job market.

PARC project

In partnership with HACRP, the PARC project supports 150 children and young people from disadvantaged families living in the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City. It assists them in their education and development through scholarships and individualized socio-educational support provided by social workers. The project also allowed the renovation of four social and educational centers in HCMC. These centers enable Enfants d’Asie to extend support to a larger number of children in the community by offering various services such as additional classes, information sessions, extracurricular activities, and social support for families.

Huong Sen project

In partnership with WOCA, the Huong Sen project supports 60 disadvantaged children in the districts of Hoc Mon and District 6, helping them access quality education. This support includes the provision of scholarships as well as socio-educational follow-up carried out by social workers. As part of this partnership, Enfants d’Asie also provides occasional support to other shelters managed by WOCA.
