Frequently Asked Questions
Enfants d’Asie, a non-profit organization, has been helping disadvantaged children in Southeast Asia for 25 years to build a better future and escape poverty in a sustainable way, thanks to education.
Our support is global, personalised and long-term, to enable children to go to school to find a stable job and get out of poverty. Our approach allows us to consider the needs of the child as a whole while adapting to each child’s history and to give them the keys (schooling, food aid, emotional and medical support) to build a better future.
Our association is on a human scale: we are a small team, relying on volunteers, and it is important to us to work as closely as possible with the communities we support.
We collaborate with local partners: even though we manage our programs directly, Children of Asia relies on local partners and works closely with the local authorities in each country to better understand local needs and to ensure the sustainability of our actions in the field.
At the head office, we are regularly looking for volunteers for specific missions: translation of documents into English, enveloping, etc…
Concerning field missions Children in Asia is looking for volunteers for punctual missions in the 4 countries of intervention on a regular basis and volunteer missions as needed.
Despite very positive results in terms of development and growth, our countries of intervention still have to take up major challenges (access to education for all, a health system within everyone’s reach, access to employment, etc.) in contexts where strong inequalities between rich and poor, rural and urban areas remain.
Without the support of Children of Asia, children would not be able to go to school and benefit from our accompaniment. They would be unable to attend school on a sustainable basis, to be trained and to find stable work.
Sponsor a child
Sponsorship, a gesture of lasting solidarity, makes it possible to cover part of the primary needs and schooling of the children we accompany, while respecting their culture. The regularity of donations ensures continuity in the support we provide to underprivileged children and young people.
These are children from very poor families, who are in an extremely precarious situation. They live either with their families or in centres managed directly by Children of Asia or by local partners and are mostly enrolled in public schools. It is the teams on the spot that identify the most needy children.
Your gift has no time limit. A regular donation allows you to have a strong impact, for a long-lasting action. Of course, you can stop your donation whenever you want, by sending us an email at email@example.com.
Enfants d’Asie offers you a child to sponsor according to emergencies and pending files. It is therefore not possible to choose the age or gender of the child. However, you can choose to support a child in school, a student or a group of children instead.
Every year, you will receive newsletters on the progress of our programmes and news from the children as well as our paper magazine “Correspondances”.
For sponsors sponsoring a particular child, you will receive a letter from your godchild twice a year as well as an annual report on his/her schooling and family.
For taxable persons, all donations are deductible up to 66% of the amount of the donation.
If you sponsor a child: 33€/month (i.e. 0.36€/day after tax deduction)
If you sponsor a student: 55€/month (i.e. 0.61€/day after tax deduction)
If you collectively sponsor children from one country: from 20€/month (i.e. 0.22€/day after tax deduction)
Donations from sponsors are pooled for the benefit of our programs and the godchildren.

Enfants d’Asie is recognised as a public utility and has the IDEAS label, which attests to our good practices in terms of governance, financial management and transparency.
