Strenghten philanthropic partnerships in Asia

From October 27 to 29 2025, Children Of Asia was invited by the Fondation de France – Asia to participate in a series of strategic meetings in Hong Kong, as part of the ‘Humanitarian & Philanthropy: the French Way’ organised at the Asia Society, in partnership with the Fondation de France – Asia and the French Consulate General in Hong Kong. Vincent Prosper, Country Director for Laos and Cambodia, represented the association to raise the profile of Children Of Asia and explore new opportunities for collaboration in the region.
The event allowed Children Of Asia to present its programs and priorities to an audience of foundations, companies and civil society actors. Group discussions also addressed the evolving humanitarian needs, the particularities of French philanthropy and the recent decline in public funding.
On the sidelines of the conference, several meetings were organised with potential funders and key players in philanthropy in Hong Kong: HK-Asean Foundation, Invest Hong Kong (responsible for family offices), the Hong Kong Jockey Club Institute of Philanthropy, as well as local NGOs such as Giving Whilst Living, which has already committed to supporting Children Of Asia with donations of refurbished computers. These discussions provided a better understanding of the priorities and funding mechanisms of Hong Kong foundations and helped identify promising avenues to support Enfants d’Asie’s programs. They pave the way for concrete partnerships, ranging from material donations to the potential mobilisation of funding to support our future projects.
This mission marks an important milestone in the development of philanthropic partnerships in Asia. A mission to the Philippines, including a delegation of Hong Kong funders, is already being planned for the end of 2026.
