Chanpheng’s Testimony
Discover the testimony of Chanpheng, supported by Enfants d’Asie in Laos. She is one of the students in a class of eight children and will soon be entering lower secondary school. The lack of transportation and the impossibility of staying at the school dormitory make access to education difficult and threaten the continuation of her schooling.

My name is Chanpheng, I am 10 years old, and I live in the village of Buam Xieng. I am in fifth grade this year, and next year I will start lower secondary school!
My school is very small, there are only eight students in my class. I walk to school every day. But next year it will be more difficult because the lower secondary school is more than 7 kilometers from my home. My family does not have a motorbike or a bicycle, and the school dormitory is broken, so I will still have to walk there…
At school, my favorite subject is art. I really enjoy drawing and coloring. I have lots of friends at school and in the village too. My favorite game is jump rope!
Every Saturday, “big brothers and big sisters” [volunteer students identified by Enfants d’Asie] come to our school to do activities with us thanks to Enfants d’Asie. We learn English, talk about the environment, play games, and laugh a lot. They are very kind to us.
I would like to say thank you to my sponsor, Mireille, for her help. I wish her lots of happiness and good health.
